Health and Fitness Clinic
Fitness is key to your health and wellness. Without at least some fitness, your recovery from injury or illness is delayed.
There are a number of options for you to choose from. We can tailor make a private programme for you, to suit your level of fitness or we can introduce you to others in the pilates and gym classes.
The pilates mat classes are open to the public, restricted to 10 people and scheduled in the morning or evening through the week. They fill fast so booking is essential for these very popular classes. The classes are real fun and almost always end up with a coffee in one of the café’s in town.
We also have open fitness classes. A little bit more energetic, a bit of cardio, a bit of strength work – working on the core. Most of these classes are in the evening. You will get a sweat up here, so bring a water bottle. Music pumps and the chiller is turned up!
For these and other class times check out the timetable. Remember to book if you want to hold a place.
With all this exercise we do like to be a bit careful when we introduce you to a class. As a rehabilitation gym, it wouldn’t be a good look if exercise caused an injury or exacerbated an existing one, so we will ask you to have a pre-acceptance check with one of our physiotherapists.
Gym – Small Group Classes
We can arrange a small group class for you and some friends (max. 4) for a more intimate and focused training.
These classes are great fun and have many benefits – not only is it fun but it increases motivation levels during the session and also helps establish a supportive group which is essential for sustained success. The programmes can be based on the options below, but, if you have something a bit more specific, speak to us and we will see what we can do.
One-on-One
Sometimes you just want to do your own thing, be guided by a professional, set and reach your own goals. You can do that here. Our gym is private and is not open to the public outside the scheduled class times. It is an intimate place for you to exercise with confidence. Give us a call to book a one-on-one personal training session.
Some of the options are:
- Stretch, roll and mobilise – reduce tightness, increase mobility and function better
- Cardio blast – increase your cardiovascular fitness with a mix of cardio drills
- Metabolic blast – mix of cardio and resistance training circuit style
- Core fusion – target your core with a fusion of different exercises
- Pure strength and toning – focused on developing lean muscle tissue
- Performance – train like a pro in this high intensity workout
- Suspension circuit training – a mixture of suspension training, core exercises and cardio.
Many Ways To
Book
To see a Physiotherapist, you can call us, email us or just pop-in to the clinic. You don’t always need a GP’s referral but, if you do have one already, that’s OK. Just bring it with you or have it handy when you call. We will book you in with your preferred Physiotherapist (if you have one) for an initial appointment (usually 30-min).
